Sorry for my late reply, I don't sign in often. (Like really rarely) If I have to hazzard a guess probably 1 hour? It's been so long. I do know that this game can be cheated by JSON editing. (The save files are in JSON format IIRC). So if you feel kind of marveled by the fact that I managed to get this ending (seems to be a hard ending?), don't be. I turn to cheats whenever I feel the game isn't worth the time, and management games simply isn't my type. The story, the atmosphere are appealing though, otherwise I wouldn't even have the motive to play.

@@ytrfamli ok thank you. I found it, and it worked. Now... I just noticed, in your video you are able to switch between Kuuenbu (the spinning jump slash) and a regular jump slash. Any help on that?

​@@ekkuseu3164 Sorry, I could not find mod entries of it from the mess of my cheat table, either it's buried somewhere, or I just did not keep it. It was just an accident discovery, causing normal slash when rising airborne, and rolling slash when falling, not something significant (actually I'd rather disable rolling slash entirely). Have fun~

Quick rundown: To me many villians in various media are underdogs. I do not prescribe to the milquetoast idea that permeates so many works of fiction "1.Hero good. 2. Villian bad. 3.Hero saves the day, yay." (This is prevalent even in the early 2000s) This hack is simply an appreciation of Double. Player died repeatedly? Good. That's what I want. But there IS a pattern where you can (almost) avoid his attack. So the classic "observe the pattern to win" still applies. If I make Double's saw/drone (they pop out if you use cyclone) fill the room, and make them damage sponges, then you can say "Oh look, here's an X6 lover". But I did not. Hope this settles further disputes.

No particular release date in mind. And no, I am not working on other hacks. This video is more of a souvenir really. The series is dead to me.

Sorry it took this long for me to notice your message. I don't login very often. In fact, my whole account pretty much stay freezed at around 2012 or so, all history turned off, don't like videos...etc. I mean, if you don't want BigTech to track you, do be prepared to live in a desert. (And I actively block google service urls actually.) That sort of thinking. With that out of the way, no, sorry, management-based games is not my cup of tea. If there is any pointers I can give, I'd say maybe check steam search? (But in all honesty, steam's search is just a decoration. No matter how many tags you choose, unrelated games always get prinkled in search results.) Sorry for the late reply again. Hope you find other fun games.

Would you mind if I'd like to see your progress so far? Not code, just some proof-of-concept video recording of X vs Iris? About damaging Double, I'll have to check if I have that code separated. I know nothing other than scan/change value, so my cheat table is a mess. IIRC it's just writing a NOP where damage is checked...

I agree on your evaluation on the gameplay. It is not really a deep puzzle game. The story however I do really like, in fact, at around this chapter, it's about to take off, but then the game got shutdown and we get that "Final Chapter" which is kind of a "Rinse and repeat" ending. Such a blow... The library (called Archive in the game) did not unlock everything. I got the assets through sniffing around. As for the scenes, what I edit was not the URL, it's the Javascript parameter in the game. It's really kind of hush-hush stuff, if you are really curious about the detail, PM me. As for game assets, you would definitely want to check out goo.gl/vPjswA It has scene script, lwf, sound, csv...etc. I did not make this rip, in fact compared to my own rip, some (trivial) things are missing (for example it does not have the Ch8 script, and I think full stance NPC from the Archive seems to be missing), but for the purpose of conserving most of the game resource, it does the job. (For credit, it's by kiletw from PTT BBS, kind of funny, both of us rippers are from Taiwan.) With that rip, you can see how a scene will play out, but not replay it, because there is no engine. If you want to see recorded scenes...well, I happened to have ALL of them (I MEAN, ALL OF THEM), normal and adult. How? by spent the whole March recording, daily non-stop. But I feel conflicted about uploading adult scenes in batch, like I am ripping DMM off (because that would be technically true). On the other hand I doubt much people would be interested in normal conversation scenes. In the end I might just have spent a whole month recording something not many are going to see...I feel lost.... Anyway, if you want to see any of the scenes, leave a comment or PM. If it is a normal scene, I will upload it to youtube. For adult scenes, I'll use a filehost and send the link with PM. I'm giving the same offer in a dedicated bbspink thread(I speak broken Japanese). So far, no one have come forward...

Ah, I am curious about the details, but it doesn't look like your channel has PMs enabled (no "About" tab on your channel at the same row as the "Home" tab). I don't know if this is because you haven't confirmed your name or you marked your channel as age-restricted, though. (support.google.com/youtube/answer/57955?hl=en) I saw the rip on the bbspink thread too, and boy was that a godsend. It is true that batch uploading this stuff is unfair to its creators, but there's an argument to be had that if they're not going to release it, it creates artificial scarcity. While the game was online, that only inflated demand, and while the game is offline, that's just being spiteful. If it was me (doing the ripping) I'd only hold off on releasing story logs for the duration of its initial release, and then upload them after, with the reasoning that the release of the assets shouldn't matter much if the quality of the *experience* of playing the game is high enough, as a game should be. Of course, the only people who should be making these kind of policies are the guys who worked to obtain the assets in the first place, so I probably shouldn't be talking, and I will respect your choice. That said, I do think not a lot of people are the kind to message others over this. As a requester, I would consider individual scenes to be too trivial, and would perceive the act of asking others for them to be bothering them (even when you explicitly invited others to request from you, yes). Not to mention, for people who'd rather be anonymous, making an individual request would make them feel that much less of being part of an unnamed crowd.

Sorry I've gone silent for a while, I have a pretty bad problem with making myself *do* stuff. When that doesn't make me procrastinate, it at least makes things take more time than they really should. (The DMM game ReBless also closed a few days ago, another game I regretted not playing. Because of the way the engine was used, grabbing a large majority of the assets here was easy with a few downloaded programs, but the event scripts alone were not available to grab without seeing them once. I tried the trick you told me about, but I couldn't know which was the right name, and unlike Idiom Girl that seemed based entirely on JavaScript, this one only seemed to use some JS code as a wrapper-like thing for the engine which made the actual resource calls, so it probably wouldn't have worked anyway. Hard to know without having sunk even more time one it, and it's a moot point now.) In truth I haven't even perused much of the videos you've uploaded, and probably won't be doing so for a while. But I'm going to try saving them for later watching, and that .lwf file tutorial looks really interesting - I thought those were derivatives of .swf (shockwave flash) files and needed some specific programs to open, but I guess that wasn't the case. Thanks for uploading all of this. I'll make myself check back here for the next week or so, so you can drop me a line anytime then. (You can leave aside Rei's scenes, though - I already grabbed those from among the zipped sets you uploaded.) Though, I assumed that sharing the resources I've asked from you only involved you uploading something somewhere and me grabbing it - dunno if that's too time-sensitive, unless you mean to use an upload site that expires pretty quickly.

Hi, sorry I got this late. Good thing I checked though, sometimes I pretty much don't login for months. (I don't like youtube linking browsing activity to my account, I just lurk.) My sympathies for you having to witness the closing of another game... (Is this proper usage?..well you get my idea.) This trend of moving to the cloud/js doesn't seem to have any sign of stopping. In the years to come I gather it would go further to the point where advanced knowledge is required to nab stuff/do tricks. (I really don't like RPGMaker going JS based, for example) Heydays of are fleeting, fast... Lwf IS a derivation (lightweight implementation as the name says) of swf. Some info in the swf is discarded/condensed (I imagine) when it is compiled into an lwf. Would be nice if there's an editor/decompiler, but given the trend of cloud, I doubt it will emerge anytime soon, or at all. (Flash will meet its end of life at 2020) I thought it would be best if there's some way to know what you need and what you don't need. Uploading all works too, it's just going to be pretty big and there will be lots of duplicates you have to weed out. Then again, my archive is still sitting there messy, so point taken. It will probably take 1 or 2 days, I'll get back to you.
